When nonprofit executive directors leave their positions, boards of directors are often in need of interim leadership. At its best, such leadership can serve two purposes: it can steady the organization's operations so that the board of directors is able to focus on the search for a permanent director, and it can provide the board of directors with an objective assessment of the condition and needs (immediate and longer-term) of the organization.
Northnode can help nonprofits in eastern Massachusetts to meet this need.
With a team of seasoned managers whose expertise includes nonprofit management, program and staff supervision, contract management, and organizational capacity building, we offer a package of services tailored to meet the specific needs of the agency/organization. These services can include any or all of the following:
- A part-time interim executive director to respond to daily organizational and staff needs, oversee general financial and administrative functions, and serve as a bridge between the staff and board of directors
- Organizational assessment aimed at identifying immediate needs and suggesting strategies for attending to those needs
- Specific services tailored to identified needs and provided in order to stabilize the organization in anticipation of the hiring of a permanent executive director
